FIFA 22: Calvert-Lewin Set to Miss Remainder of Season Due To Injury
Calvert-Lewin out long-term after setback
Everton's season takes another blow as star striker ruled out until next campaign.
Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin will miss the rest of the season after suffering a setback in his recovery from a knee injury.
The England international has been sidelined since August with a patella tendon issue and had been hoping to return to action in the coming weeks after missing the first 12 games of the Premier League campaign.
However, the 25-year-old has suffered a setback in his recovery and will now not be back in action until the 2023-24 campaign.
The news is a major blow to Everton, who have struggled for goals in Calvert-Lewin's absence.
The Toffees have scored just 11 goals in their 12 Premier League games so far this season.
Calvert-Lewin was the club's top scorer last season, with 16 goals in all competitions.
His absence will be a major concern for manager Frank Lampard, who is already without a number of other key players through injury.
